Longhao Ran

Longhao Ran was born in China and raised in Australia, where he began studying percussion at four years old. He’s currently studying under percussionist Yueyi Liu from the UBC School of Music. With her guidance, he completed the AMEB Grade 8 Percussion Examination in 2023 and is now preparing for the Associate in Music, Australia (AmusA) diploma.In recent years, he has been fortunate to receive recognition for his performances, including Third Place in the 2023 Australian Marimba Competition (Section C) and First Place in the Primary Percussion category at the 2024 Australian Percussion Eisteddfod.Through each performance, Longhao strives to grow as a musician and to share music with clarity, passion, and purpose.
